The University of Alaska Fairbanks is actively seeking an MSW4 Grounds Worker to join our team. We are looking for an individual who will take charge of operating various small equipment, including lawn mowers, snow blowers, trimmers, and backpack blowers, to maintain the safety and visual appeal of our campus grounds. In addition to equipment operation, the ideal candidate will assist with general grounds keeping duties such as landscaping, planting, watering, snow removal, and conducting minor repairs and maintenance tasks.

This is a University of Alaska Local 6070 union represented position and is open to internal and external applicants. Candidate will be responsible for supporting the successful operations of the general services provided by Facilities Services Department of Operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have and maintain a Valid Driver License and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria.
Three (3) years multi-trade experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. Salary Information: MSW4 /Step 1 $21.65/hr. (See Article 9.2 in the L6070 Collective Bargaining Agreement, Wage Grade Schedule).
